some issues need addressing
thin curtains peeling wallpaper
The room i had felt quite tired. Peeling wallpaper and thin curtains were annoying. ants had colonized the small balcony, i noticed. the patio door didn't close properly. breakfast wasn't excellent compared to other hotels i've visited.

swan towel surprise upgrade
Linda at reception gave me a warm welcome. Anna made my departure seamless. i was upgraded to a fine colonial-style room, a lovely surprise. the romantic swan towel arrangement and cake made the evening lovely.
i can't compare this place to other hotels owned by the sarkies brothers.

I was charmed by the historic building. It really transported me to a different era. I loved the extensive breakfast selection. It had many local and international options.
